Sick!
As I thought, I'm sick. I woke up today feeling weak and achey, and it's pretty much how I've felt all day. My back is sore and my throat and chest feel a bit strange, but mostly it's affecting my general strength. I haven't been able to do anything all day except watch midday television and sleep, and all the while that overdue essay is looming over me but I have no capacity to do it. :( I guess I could apply for special consideration, so it's not the end of the world, but argh. Stressful.
Not doing anything even though I want to has got me feeling pretty down, and I won't deny that I feel miserable at the moment. I haven't really got the strength to feel anything acutely, but it's all there. It'll go away once I'm able to move around though.
But to happier things, midday television is a strange and hilarious place. Me and my sis watched Xena and Hercules, both of which were really bizarre. Xena, from the bit that I saw of it, is some sort of lesbian warrior fantasy- the episode that was on today involved singing, and her and this other lady lying in the sand playing while the waves rushed in to engulf them. Er, ok. I thought Xena was all about fighting baddies and throwing blades, but obviously I had it completely wrong!
And Hercules was even more hilarious- questionable scenes included two men being magically chained to each other in the nude, and a pig being transformed into a beautiful lady, only to get so excited at the sight of mud that she decided to roll in it naked. Mhm. Ok then 90s television. It made me think that if these shows had been around in the days of internet fandom and shipping, they would pretty much have seemed like unashamed fanservice. As it is though, they were basically utter crap. xD
That is all I have to say, as absolutely nothing of remote excitement happened to me today. Here's hoping this sickness goes away soon so I don't go craaaazyy!! xx
