Hey Everybody
SO WOW THIS HAS BEEN AN AWESOME ARRIVAL
1.) Go to the airport then have a delay for 2 hrs. Have to get off the plane and rush to try and get on another one.
2.) Get on the other plane wait for 1 hour: Bad Weather
Number Three (My computer won't type threes in this lab haha).) Run through O'hare going crazy...then get on the plane at the last minute only to find we are waiting three hours do to various reasons with the engine.
Four.) Get to Tokyo and find the prof.
5.) Finally Arrive in Bangkok
Then we went to our hotel and it is on a really nice street. There are tons of stray dogs (they are really cool and haven't bother me yet) and tons of little stands. It is very authentic; I think. Amazingly our hotel is just so nice. The rooms are just ok, but the hotel itself is nice. I slept till three the next day.
Then we all went for a walk down like half a kilometer (I am talking in kilos and centimeters haha) and we went to a little shopping center. We went to a bar that put us in a "VIP" room. THen it started to pour so we went back. Got nice and soaked. Then we got ready for dinner and went to FUTURE PARK Mall...a HUGE complex of stores and restaurants. WE took a taxi...my first? Then we ate at the food court. THen we went to go bowling.
Then we taxied back.
This morning started off the day with an awesome buffet breakfast (complimentary). It was great...then took a bus to AIT where we were oriented to things. THe thai were impressed with my accent haha because I learned a few phrases. Then we went swimming.
Anyways gotta go. Hope everyone is doing well. THis is a REALLY COOL place and I feel really safe. Anyways, I'll write more soon
