CERTAMEN=LIFE!
Wow. I am such a loser. But hey! I love it, so it's all good!
Convention was SOOOOOOOOOO much fun this weekend!! Ahhhhh! Teachers without togas! and bananas!! And ohhhhhhhhh dear, arches are hard to build out of sugar cubes! I tied Pranjal for 1st in Deriv II, came right behind him w/ 2nd in grammar II, got 3rd in Voc II, 4th in Reading comp II (poor caitlin took a level I test, and it got graded as a II test!! T_T), 6th in my level II recitation (although that was out of a lot fewer people), and 9th in Roman Life II. Yey! I'm excited! Stephanie and Melissa and Michael were all amazing when they made their speeches, and Melissa's was very funny. After all the comments about her not liking/not being good at history, she went and placed fourth in the upper-level test! Yey!!! It was cool. Also we placed second for points per capita, so that's pretty sweet, and the upper certamen team placed second and the novices placed third. we were...6th or 7th, I think. Oh well, we had a TON of fun anyway, and that kid from Sycamore is my new hero, cos he made it to finals being the ONLY person on his team! YEYEYEYEY! Susanna is my other hero cos she sang "white and nerdy", and it made me laugh.
On the other hand we have delayed starts all week because of the OGTs!! Yey! Poor sophomores and other upperclassmen...good luck!
