Finally made it home for break...
Train tracks between Boston and Albany were flooded so we took a bus that far, oh joy. Then the train ride itself was fine, but my throat was sore and I felt like I was getting sick. At least there were some interesting people. The two sitting behind me and across the aisle were particularly entertaining. One was a psych major / film minor from my school, it turned out, and the other was some guy who'd graduated college a few years ago as a lit major and is now a poet. So they had lots of elite artsy discussion which was pretty entertaining.
I was sitting with a very sweet and quiet girl whose hair was very very short but she wore a knit yellow (with other colors) hat which was very pretty. She told me she made it herself and thought it was a disaster, but I told her all the fixes she'd made weren't visible, and she was happy.
Now I'm home and my throat hurts much less but I've had a fever and my nose is stuffy and I just generally feel like crap. I really super hope it's not the flu, because I didn't get a flu shot this year and my mom's been on my case about it. So if it is the flu, she'll be obnoxious.
Apparently yesterday she and my brother got in a fight so he's grounded all week from electronics "just to make sure that you never ever want to come home again" (thanks, Dad). It does seem like I'm allergic to coming home or something. I was in the hospital when I came home at Christmas >.<
Now I really need to be working on my paper but I'm to tired and icky feeling. Gross. Also my sister's started watching Glee and made me watch the most recent episode on Hulu with her today. The one all about sex. Which was beyond awkward even if there were some cute moments. She's in love with Kurt. Who is very very innocent and very very gay. This is a pattern for her. No good... He is super adorable, though.
Ugh, ok... going to find dinner or something now and maybe some tea to unplug my nose and then I really need to work... if I don't fall asleep, that is... >.<
