I dunno if I would say your body will go crazy, but it'll change. You don't know what your baseline normal periods and cycle are like, so that'll be something new and different for you. It's okay to be concerned about it, but don't let that make your decision for you - gotta find out sometime, yanno? And if you find an available penis or if you go off and decide that life sucks without bc and you want to go back on, that's okay. It's alot of changes for your body, but it's not really terrible or anything like that. It'd just be another thing for your body to adjust to. I was in the same position re: being on bc for so long, and then just wanting to stop the side effects and see what happened. It was a good decision for me (it was actually last winter, a little over a year ago). I was able to find out what my normal body was like without hormones (I actually dropped weight, and my periods weren't painful at all, which I was surprised about - I had remembered them being terrible back when I was like, 15). I ended up going back on bc for a few months, and then off again, and now the IUD. As for hbc lessening the chances of endo - sort of. If you have endo, you have it and hbc can't really prevent it showing up. It can help the symptoms or side effects, and can keep your periods regular and all. hbc is a common treatment for endo, but not a preventative. If you were to have endo, you'd probably be showing symptoms by now - it's adolescent-young adult onset most of the time. So, side effects going off: your periods will likely get messed up. I had a really long cycle going off for the first time, and that's normal. You'll also find out what it's like for you to ovulate and have normal hormonal fluctuations. Any side effects you had on the ring will dissipate - your libido could pick up, your boobs could shrink a bit. It's unlikely you'll gain weight from going off, though possible I suppose. I'd mostly be looking for mood changes and period changes as your body gets used to being without the hormones again And bottom line: if you go off and hate it, you can go back on. Try it and see, yanno?
Yeah, the ring can really eff with people. Make them yell and cry at you over things like the shower, and how long dinner is taking to cook. *cough* Jen *cough*

Hope that's helpful, and you're welcome. :)
