Warning WTF & RECs SG-1 (D/J, Gen)

Mar 06, 2010 20:32

You know what really pissed me off? Seeing in a newsletter a story listed with a pretty rare pairing, clicking to read - and then reading the "warning" for interracial relationships! WTF?! That's really not something that should have a warning! I really want to leave a comment about this, but I'm still fuming.

Stargate SG-1 | Gen, team; (peripheral non-explicit S/C) | PG | ~ 4,000 words
There’s a place that burst into existence on an afternoon otherwise unremarkable to most of the universe, bright and hot and full of life. It’s hard to find; you can’t get there by ship or by gate, it can’t be plotted on a map. There are no borders to speak of, and most people will never know it’s there. The only way to find it is if someone guides you.
-- > I've read it for when it had been posted for the first time, and I thought it was beautiful. I haven't watched much of SG-1 then though. When I've read it again after more than 2 years, having watched almost all the episodes now and fallen in love with these characters, I just started crying. It's such a fitting story. This is how it could happen.

Five secrets Teal'c took to his grave, by rachel500.
Stargate SG-1 | Gen; Teal'c (Mention of multiple pairings.) | PG | ~ 630 words
-- > Oh, this is such an intriguing view on Teal'c. Loved the theme of guilt and redemption that weaves through this ficlet.
