-- > I was dithering whether I should rec this story or not. While I certainly enjoyed it it didn't seem really exceptional. So I got myself a coffee and read it again. And enjoyed it again. And was still undecided. After I've read it a third time I decided I didn't really care, because reading a story more than once and enjoying it every time certainly qualifies for being rec-material.
I loved George here, this is exactly how I imagine him to be after the war. I liked all the other characters too, and their interactions. Lovely.
Bandom, Brendon/Shane:

If Ray got stuck on a case, he'd start to call the Yellowknife line, and his hands would shake badly enough he'd have to punch the couch a few times to calm down. He always ended up calling Vecchio instead. -- In which Fraser is stuck in Inuvik, Kowalski is stuck in Chicago, Vecchio is stuck in Florida, and no one is very happy with this arrangement.
-- > This is gorgeous. I really loved the slow progression of their relationship and how not everything is smooth sailing. Ray K.'s voice rang very true to me, and I really adore him and Ray V. and Fraser here so much.
