Every third Saturday, they would meet for drinks somewhere elegant and pretend that it wasn't. The other thing that they pretended was that Charlie didn't run the First National, and that Knox didn't win big cases for GM.
Why?: Oh, this is awesome. I love the adult PoV, and how Charlie and Knox changed and how they stayed so very much themselves. So very realistic and plausible.

Wilby Wonderful | Ensemble | R | ~ 8,710 words
Summary: You know, I didn’t think I could write anything more about these people, and I was right. I started writing this because I wanted to write a scene with tree fort sex in it, and they seemed amenable to the idea. I finished this and realized that this is the exact SAME story as “Say Anything.” Which proves to me my theory that sometimes you have only one thing to say about a set of characters. So a warning: you’ve read this before, just the words are moved around in a different order.
Why?: I've read this story before I watched the movie. And I loved it. So I went ahead and watched the movie and came back and read the story again. And I still loved it. It has such a Wilby feeling to it. Beautiful.
