RECS: due South, Harry Potter, Torchwood

This is a story that transforms something that can happen to all of us - the illness of a family member - into a wonderful and intimate story. (And no, I don't mean sex!)
It hit very close to home for me, and it had me sobbing. But those were tears that helped. Sometimes it's just good to know that you're not alone. Sympathy and empathy, not pity.
I wish I had a better grasp on the English language to give the story the praise it deserves.

A harsh Draco/Harry story from an unusual point of view: Neville's. Sharp and poignant, it made me ache for him. Wonderful characterization, for all of them.
*) Whistle-Crack, by kayliemalinza.
Torchwood | Ianto/Tosh | PG | 971 words
This story proves that porn doesn't need a NC-17 rating to be hot. And it works so well. Wonderful character voices and a last line that left me squirming.
