Scene From Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (by J.K. Rowling)
-- > I really love the atmosphere of this piece. Love how the woods loom, and how the stark contrast creates the atmosphere.

Harry Potter | Gen; Kingsley Shacklebolt, Harry Potter | PG | ~ 1,660 words
The aftermath of war is hard. But there are little things that bring comfort.
-- > I love stories dealing with the aftermath, and this one is doing this great.
I love how Harry still looks after other people, and how he actually does something about it.
And Kingsley, I like his point of view and how he sees Harry.
Healing is often easier together, when you can lean on another, and I like how the story portrays it here.

Harry Potter | Gen; Dolores Umbridge, Irma Pince | PG | ~ 1,900 words
When she returned to the desk, she found her least favorite member of the faculty behind it, reaching for a drawer. - "I do believe," Madam Pince said in a voice that dripped icicles, "that this is my desk."
-- > Because this is a great view on an seldom mentioned character. Because this a great view on the other (small) things that happened during "Order of the Phoenix". Because it might just have happened like this.

Harry Potter | Gen-ish; Millicent Bulstrode, Neville Longbottom, Pomona Sprout, Pansy Parkinson, Original Female Character | PG-13 | ~ 9,230 words
Millicent Bulstrode is hopeless. And that's not always a bad thing.
-- > This is a wonderful character driven story. Love the portrayal of Millicent, and how she forms her friendships. We can see her evolve from a child to a teenager, and I loved watching finding herself. She, and the other characters, are so vividly drawn. Love her relationship with Professor Sprout. I can see why Millicent is crushing on her. (And I am glad, very glad, that there's all there is.) I will definitely read the story again.
