But of the very pedestrian type. Sorry guys and gals.
Most of you know I'm a girl/woman/female. But, I'm using the name of an original character my husband and I created as my internet name. Thaddeus Favour. Not a guy, I just play one on the net! ::grin::
This is understandable and hardly unique. But, here's the fun thing...
My husband and I are D&D gamers from way back in the day. We started with the little cardboard box set with the dice that now have completely round corners because they weren't impact resistant. Since Dragon Magazine went toes up (Charles has a magnificent collection of them), he's transferred his interest to Kobold Quarterly. It's downloadable in pdf files and he's joined the forum boards there for fun and interaction with fellow gamers, much the way I'm on the forum boards over at the Torchwood Writers' Union.
There was one time when the website wasn't working right, and Charles could not log in to download the magazine. We had to create a new persona with a new email addy, since the old one could not be accessed at all. So, I tried and it took mine. Now, I had no idea what I was doing, I was just trying to help him out and get his new download. But apparently, I signed on to use the forums as well. With my actual name as the user name.
So, everyone knows me as Thaddeus Favour at TWU, and everyone at Kobold Quarterly forums knows him as Amy C******!
This strikes me as really, really funny. Just one of those internet things.
(I trust you guys, but I never flock anything, so I'll just leave you to wonder about my last name.)
life,
the net
