I love Thanksgiving! I just finished making the cranberry salad which I don't particularly like to eat but I love to make because I use and old hand grinder and its so satisfying to feel the cranberries POP as I turn the handle. Eli just watched and giggled.
I have a job which is ok for now except that I'm not used to spending this much time away from my babies. I'm only working 20 hours a week at the Gap (i know, I know) but the nice part is that the store is in a mall that is two minutes from my house and generally pretty dead. No roving bands of teen agers or flood of shoppers. Anyone want a friends and family 30% discount card for the 1st through the 4th of December, let me know, I have a ton of them. It's nice to be bringing in a little extra money for the holidays. Rob does have a lead for a photo editor position at a place called GSW which is local and seems like a great place to work so fingers crossed. Plus the senior position at AOL Dulles is not completely out of the question. He just has to be hired in the next week which is unlikey with everyone on vactaion. Pray pray pray. I feel like we have all the makings for a great Thanksgiving tv series episode which are the best of the holiday episodes other than Simpsons halloween. I still have fond memories of the Northern Exposure and Sisters thanksgiving episodes. Family wackyness, relationship drama, flashbacks and mishaps plus a sprinkling of a Thanksgiving miracle make for the perfect show. Sad, I know, but it's the sort of thing that makes me all giddy.
