Pretty cool day. I didn't have school because of the anniversary celebration today. Even the mayor of Berlin was at my school. I spent the day with nothing special. Reading "Perfume" by Patrick Süskind - I can highly recommend that book - and just taking my dog for a walk. In the afternoon, I finally met Madeleine, my Elementary-School-friend. We had a nice time going shopping and I convinced her of buying a Mickey Mouse tee. It suits her perfectly. :)
After shopping, we went to Starbucks and had a nice chat about this and that. I'm really happy to be friends with her (again).
I'm disappointed I didn't get ticktes to the Franz Ferdinand show tonight! What a pity. I noticed too late that they were playing tonight and so I didn't get tickets. Sad, sad...I spent the evening with looking at the watch and sighing. :/
But there will be another chance to see Franz! They will be the pre-band of The Pixies concert on June 29th. We'll see...
Back to "Perfume". I'm so into that book right now. A friend of Steffi's had to read that book at school and she said it was boring. I cannot understand that. I love it. Has anyone read it? I think it's great. I love the whole idea of that book. The story of a murderer who killed a girl just for her personal scent. On the one hand, it's kinda disgusting but on the other hand, it's a new idea of a reason to kill for. It's well written and exciting.
I think I'll read "The Da Vinci Codes" when I finished "Perfume". Thank you, Belowen. xxx
