I've mentioned before about Capital One's policy of having 4 days a year, once per quarter where a team are allocated a sum of money per person to go out into the world and do something 'fun' as a 'team'. It's getting to the point now where lots of the old hands have done Go-karting/paintballing/rambling/horse-riding/etc too many times, and it's difficult to think of new 'interesting' stuff. There's only 2 options that have been suggested for this quarter -
- The Peterborough Beer festival. 1.5 hours each way to drink funky old beer with beardy old men in a tent.
- Cybergolf in the morning, meal and wandering around Nottingham's pubs for the rest of the day.
Now, that second option made me wonder, so I replied to my team with the following email:
Is cybergolf anything like cybersex?
I get out my big 12 wood and test it for weight
I can't wait for my shot, this is so exciting
I have a few test swings with my shiny, heavy club, keeping an eye on the wind speed too
I line up my shot, and swing as hard as I can-
I fly down the course towards the dirty, dirty rough
<@nickfaldo44> Good shot, great shot
I slide a furry cover over your 12 wood and stuff it back into the golfbag
:D
I got a series of rather prude and piss-take responses regarding my interest/knowledge of cybersex. They're all too old, probably. :)
