Are chavvy tracksuits the first step towards our society accidentally conforming towards the silver one piece jumpsuit popularised by modern science fiction? - discuss.
I swear, Nottingham is full of tracksuits at the moment. I mean, it's not something you don't notice - but this morning on the bus, I think the Mark Ecko clothing army were out in such force you'd think someone was giving the outfits away. I've even googled just to check it's not national tracksuit week. It is not.
Anyway!
Heather and I went to see
Children of Men last night, which has put me in a PKD-reading mood. A very, very good film indeed with some really cool sets and locations. It looked more like I would have preferred
Minority Report to look, and made think of Escape from
NY/
LA and
28 Days Later in terms of it's overall feel. Really liked Clive Owen, although he's slightly typecast as a likeable git (Dwight in
Sin City, Parks in
Gosford Park, Larry in
Closer) again. Michael Caine is class too, must be nice to be able to pick his work these days. :) The director was also responsible for
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, incidentally.
My team are dropping code into production today, so all hands are fully glued to the deck to get everything ready in case of everything going boom in our silly faces. Fingers crossed! :)
Oh, picked up
V for Vendetta and
Kung Fu Hustle in HMV's sale on Saturday for £7 each. Bargain. Really looking forward to seeing the former because I've not heard a bad word said about it from anyone_at_all.
