Title: Utopia
Pairing: Hanchul
Summary: It has to be the worst day of Heechul's life. Until he met someone special.
A/N: This was originally my English essay for school.

This had to be the worst day of Heechul's life. It could go down in history as one of the worst days ever.

No one could have a worse day. It is not as if anyone would wake up three hours late because of a stupid alarm clock, not have any coffee because his coffee-maker broke down, not have any clean clothes to wear because he was too lazy to wash them or send them to the drycleaner’s, trip over their carpet in the living room while rushing to the door, and miss the bus by split seconds. As if it was not bad enough, when he finally got to work, he got scolded by his boss for not handing up my work on time, given a warning for the millionth time about getting fired, and got hus foot stepped on by his arch enemy at work. He wanted to take revenge but because he did not have breakfast, he did not have enough energy to chase him. Lunch should be a happy time of the day, right? Wrong. He realized that he did not bring his wallet to work and should stay in do finish up the long-overdue work. But the photocopying machine and printer had to break down at that crucial moment. He could not take the stress anymore, scribbled a resignation letter and threw it at his boss, not leaving before he lashed out a long string of swear words.

Now, Heechul was on the streets, jobless, penniless and hungry. Everything had gone wrong that day. Everything dumb thing in this miserable world. His house, his workplace, his --

“Ouch! What the -- “ He looked up and saw a young man; he was disheveled with pile of papers clutched under his arm.

“I’m sorry. I’m rushing -- I’m really have to go.” The man picked up some of the documents that fell on the ground and ran off.

“Hey, wait! You left -- “ But the man was already gone. He must have dropped those papers when they bumped into each other and missed them while picking the rest up because he was rushing for time.

Heechul was contemplating whether or not he should return the papers to the man or not. They could be rather important for the presentation or whatever he was rushing for. Since Heechul was free, he might as well go to the address written on the paper to find Hankyung. I am not even sure if he is called Hankyung, but that was written on the document.

Hankyung’s workplace was magnificent -- white, neat and seemingly happy, unlike the pathetic hellhole Heechul used to work at. He greeted the receptionist and explained his reason for being here. She let him into the office and found Hankyung’s table.

“Oh, thank you for finding my documents.” Someone said behind him as he was placing the paper on the table. He was Hankyung.

“Yeah, you dropped them there just now. I’m sorry for not seeing where I was going.” Heechul smiled at the Hankyung; he seemed like a nice young man.

“It’s not your fault. You see, today hasn’t been really my day.” So it wasn’t only me, Heechul thought. But his bad day couldn’t be as bad as Heechul’s.

“I woke up late today and didn’t have any breakfast. I miss my bus and had to run to work. During lunchtime, I had to run home to get the important documents for a presentation. That was when I bumped into you.” He said with a laugh.

“I’m Heechul, nice to meet you.”

“I guess you already know my name. Nice to meet you, too.”

"Hankyung! What are you doing? Presentation starts in five minutes!"

"Sorry, boss calling. I'll talk to you later." Hankyung said and dashed into a meeting room.

Heechul listened well and since he has got nothing to do, he decided to wait outside Hankyung's office for him. But Heechul wasn't one who would sit down patiently to wait. He paced back and forth outside the office, got bored, sneaked inside, only to get chased out by the petite but feisty receptionist.

Finally, after a extremely long wait, Hankyung was done. He walked out from his office and was shocked to see Heechul waiting outside.

Heechul was on bench outside his office, licking a ice-cream and bobbing his head while listening to music.

"Want some?" Heechul pointed his ice-cream at Hankyung the moment he saw him approaching. Hankyung shook his head politely.

"You actually waited for me?" Hankyung said in a sort of surprised tone.

"Well, you said that you would talk to me later. So here I am. What are we going to talk about?" Heechul was excited; it was a long time since he had a real friend. That was if Hankyung even wanted to be his friend in the first place.

"Nothing much. Just wondering, would you like to be friends?"

"Yes, of course!"

"Great!"

After that, they were feeling very awkward. Just sitting on the park bench, swinging their legs (only Heechul) and nothing else. Slowly, Heechul inched closer. Closer and closer, until Hankyung could feel Heechul's breath on his face.

"How do you feel?" Heechul asked.

"Good. Really good."

"You know how this day started as a bad day for me?" Heechul said, remembering how he swore that nobody else could have a worse day. Now, he was beginning to think otherwise.

"Yeah?" Hankyung preferred to keep quiet and enjoy the moments.

"I think that this day can't get any better?"

"Why?"

"Well, if not, I wouldn't have met you." He put his hand on Hankyung's cheek, thumb on his lips.

Hankyung didn't say anything; he didn't seem to mind.

"Welcome to my utopia, darling." Heechul whispered into Hankyung's ears.
