new info on mom
So, yesterday mom had the nurse call dad. Which means she's talking. And today they moved her out of the ICU (the worst is over for now?) and up a floor to a room of her own. She's walking from the bed to the bathroom all on her own.
Dad says that when Mom woke up, she was pretty depressed because she was strapped down -depressed and embarrassed. Can't blame her. She's also lonely. Dad's gonna see about visiting her this weekend, and I've been trying to call her for about 40 minutes (since I found out that she's got her own #) but the line's busy (I think she's on the phone with drea). Dad also says her speech is delayed and slow. Well, she got her speech back before, I'm sure she'll get it again with a little therapy.
So, short post, but it's all good news. She's still not out of the woods, as Dad and Bill and Drea keep repeating, but it's definitely a big leap forward.
