Toothy, motherly, Marlboro, rainy, +21 degrees today in Montreal

Lately...

I've had four wisdom teeth removed. That was on Tuesday, and by now my face is on its way back to normal except for a large bruise/blood pool in my right cheek. It was an interesting experience. It actually hurt more than birth when the freezing wore off (good news to anyone who wishes to reproduce, I guess).

I came home to a letter telling me that I was accepted to the Creatuve Writing program at Concordia. That and the amazing weather has me in a pretty good mood, dental surgery notwithstanding.

And my mom is here! It's been a while, and it's nice to see her again. Tomorrow we will meet and play with Russia for the day, possibly walk down Mont Royal if its not too rainy.

Our Polish neighbours have moved out, but we have a new friend named Marlow who reminds me of a cross between iam phillips and tom westoll, if you can imagine that.... but kindof emo looking and overall a really funny guy. I got caught in the forcefield of his house for two days and watched many movies. Aric/Russia/I may move in with he and his girlfriend at some point--although it will be sad to say goodbye to our beautiful view of the mountain, he rent is soooo cheap its hard to ignore the possibility.

And the laundromat girl gave Aric a Marlboro red cigarette which he brought home to me, and I smokd with nostalgia on my balcony after everyone else was asleep. Someone (or it might have been a few people, I don't know) told me that its silly to talk so much about smoking with I write, but it really seems like something to me, like its momentous or in some way significant, or something, and I find it hard to stop. Here's hoping that school in the fall will be pleasant, and that I can stay on top of things this time around (no more caffeinated nights and drunken mornings, eh, Pat?)

Cheers, friends.

ooh, and I listened to allen ginsberg sing/moan william blake poems, and it was TERRIBLE. Just don't bother. But do look up Gospel Noble Truths (hard to find but worth it) or rent Fried Shoes Cooked Diamonds (1978).
