I FINALLY got my roommate assignment

So yeah. And my roommate has quite a longer trek to Vermont than I do. No, she's not from LA. She's from South Korea.

I know that Middlebury brags about all their international students, but for some reason it never even crossed my mind that I might have one as a roommate. I'm happy because I know it will be a great cultural experience, but it makes me kind of nervous at the same time. It just seems pretty crazy to move out of home for the first time and to be thrown into a room with someone from another country who might not even speak English that well. I'm paranoid that we'll have nothing in common to talk about that she can express in English, or that she'll think I'm stupid because I hardly know anything about her country. Also I'm just scared that I'll have no clue what I'm doing once I get up there, and she'll look to me to help her out but I'll be just as helpless as she is.

Also, I have no clue how to pronounce her name. Hye Min Rya. Anyone want to give that a shot?

It'll probably work out fine...but this is just my roommate paranoia. Isn't everyone entitled to some of that?
