I kind of came to love these designs...they're really funny to me. Alyosha appears to have come right out of a shounen-ai as will be apparent in later pages, while Ivan has the classic Japan fanart touch of 'if they're intelligent, they wear glasses'.
Ivan what are you talking about that does not look appropriate (I think I see Kain and George Washington in there)
LISE IS REALLY CUTE IN THIS. As she should be.
I (sincerely) like Rakitin's design. Not quite as fug as he's usually cast as, but still skeezy lookin' enough XD
I love this page for the bottom panels... ":D" "D:" is a perfect summary of Alyosha and Dmitri's relationship, I think.
The scene where Dmitri describes how he met Katerina...I love his ffffffffff ಠ_ಠ face where Katerina gives him the brush off.
GRUSHENKA IS SUCH A HOTTIE IN THIS. Do want.
The scene Dmitri first comes in to beat the crap out of his father...I just enjoy the panel where Ivan is all "goddamnit not in front of our little brother, you know he has a woman's constitution"

The scene where Grushenka is at Katerina's is done so well!! HBIC right here.
Katerina's <3 for Grushenka framed by a shojo flower border is what really did it for me.
But the top panel here!! I've always wanted to draw something exactly like this between them...an over the top BATTLE OF WOMEN. Too perfect!!
I had drawn this scene in one of my sketch dumps, but I feel topped by this. Bottom panel bawwww is <3.
Oh man if I was still 14, Dmitri would so be my #1 bish.
Did I mention Lise was really really REALLY cute. Also she has a few flashbacks with Alyosha as shown at the bottom which give me cavities.
SO THIS FOR 200+ pages. I am soooo delighted, and cannot wait for the next one, haha!!
