Sorry to keep spamming the community, guys and girls. Heh.
I have been applying for jobs left and right for the last six months, and have gotten pretty much nowhere. In the case of some employers I'm pretty sure me being out as trans had something to do with it. Presenting as female would be very unhealthy for me right now, I don't have the option of being stealth, so I sort of just tell people.
Now, tomorrow I have an interview. I really need this job right now. But I can't stand being addressed as female anymore, so I pretty much have to come out when someone first meets me because, let's face it, I can only pass as a young teenage boy, not a 22-year-old seeking a 'serious' job. Would you recommend sucking up being called 'ma'am' until I actually get the job, and then coming out, or just standing my ground and trusting I'll eventually find an employer who won't mind?
