for those of you who changed your name while at college/uni
did you use your uni address on your name change document, or your home address?
I am writing my stat dec now and wasn't sure which to use.
thanks

i think it's best if you use your current correspondence address, or preferably your current residential address. i was in the middle of moving home when i changed my name, and put my new address on it (about ten days before i actually moved) and when sending it to people, i atached a letter informing them of botht he change of address and name, as per the stat dec.

dunno if that helps.

the only issue with my current address, is all my "official" correspondence gets sent to my home address (because my uni one tends to change each year) will that be an issue?]

or should I just leave a blank space on the darn thing and fill in whatever the solicitor says?
also, will the fact I have no appointment with a solicitor matter? it should only take a minute for them to sign the form, right? so maybe they won't need one :/

sorry for thestupid questions >.<

i'd put your current residential address, and when you're sending it to people, let them know it's temporary accomodation, and to continue using your home address as correspondence address. then you're covering all your bases.

The fact you have no appointment depends on the solicitor. It wouldn't hurt to phone them and see if they will be able to squeeze you in.
