Vocal

I'm not sure how obvious I've been about my general transition strategy but it runs along the lines of getting what I can from the NHS as soon as they're willing to give it, and in the mean time getting anything they won't provide first.

Considering that I've been told our local gender clinic sees 7 people at a time and currently has a waiting list of 50 people, plus the receptionists telling me the waiting list is roughly six years, I'm trying to get as much done as possible to make myself passable pre-hormones and go full time before I die still waiting to see a specialist.

I've been working on the facial hair with laser and I've started thinking about speech and voice therapy.

A little research last night revealed remarkably little other than the fact that no voice feminisation therapists have websites.

I wondered if anyone knew:

1) does the NHS provide any kind of voice therpay and if so how good is it?

2) Where can I find a list of therapists who do mtf voice work in the uk? Preferably near or in yorkshire....

questions, voice modification, nhs treatment
