...

know we want to at least go to london, manchester, brighton, liverpool, wales, and dublin.

Forgive me if I seem to be putting a downer on things, but that's possibly a bit ambitious for two weeks, unless you're particularly fond of the inside of railway stations. ;-)

yeah - our time is not exactly set in stone - we have three months in europe and will figure it out as we go along :). we may see more or less than we think in the UK - right now it's seeming way more expensive there than elsewhere, so who knows :).

That does give you a lot more flexibility. You could probably spend a week in London alone and still wish you had more time there, but it is not a cheap city, as you say. Youth hostels and B&Bs can be pretty good value for money though.

Well i would say London and Brighton for sure, but you've got those already. There's an FTM group in London, hopefully someone else will be able to provide you with information about that. It would be good to meet up - let us know where you'll be and when, and i'll see if i can get to either London or Brighton. Or Bournemouth, there's another good, queer, seaside town to visit! The best beach in the South! :D

Edinburgh, Scotland, has a good FtM group and is an absolutely amazing city you should not miss. You may be able to get cheap accomodation if you stay in university campus-based hotels, or youth hostel of course.

Brighton and London are pretty much the most expensive parts of the UK you can find. Also, you'll probably be able to fit only three cities into two weeks unless you're planning to spend your time looking out of coach windows. Also, travel is expensive so I'd suggest cutting down on the number of places you go to. Maybe go to two or at max three places and get the most you can from them.

Oh and the Megabus and Megatrain are your friends and will save you a fortune in travel: http://www.megabus.co.uk/ http://www.megatrain.com/

I second Edinburgh as a place not to miss! Manchester, on the other hand, should only be a day trip ;)
