Psychiatry Assessment
Hey guys~
Kayso.
I spoke to the Doctor, and she said that although she was happy to refer me - the PCT had decided that they wouldn't fund me until I had seen a psychiatrist. This was a bit irritating, and the Doctor said that she didn't think I needed it and she wrote to the mental health clinic that she thought that but that I had to do it because of the PCT.
I'm quite peeved, but - I know that it'll be worth it if I can get my referral. I'm willing to do it, just a bit miffed.
I've been really pretty worried about it, and I just got a call from the clinic giving me an appointment for an assessment next Wednesday.
...Butterflies in my tummy like woah.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had to do this?
If so, how did it go? Did you get a good psychiatrist, did they respond well? Did you find that you were able to verbally express yourself?
I'm having difficulty trying to figure out how to vocally explain what is going on without getting blocked or embarassed.
Although a friend of mine said something very supportive and encouraging - "you're obviously totally a guy o_O you'll be fine, you know who you are."
