If all goes well I'll be studying in London for 3 (possibly more) years starting September '07. Assuming I get accepted and can figure out how to pay for it, that might cause some issues with my starting T.

I was hoping to start sometime within the year, preferably around May of next year or so. However, before I make any definite plans I thought I should probably find out what would happen if I did end up moving. I know that as a full time student on a degree seeking program I will qualify for NHS. What I'm wondering is...well, what exactly that means in this situation. What's covered? Would I be able to take a prescription from a doctor here (here being the US) and just have it transferred? I'm planning on going the gel/patch route so that's also a concern.

There's also a (rather large) chance my family will require me to leave if/when I start T. If I don't get accepted that won't be an issue, I'll simply use the money I've been saving to get me started on my own. However, if I AM accepted that's money that's supposed to go towards a plane ticket and essentials for the first few months so I don't have to stress about finding a job. Would it be possible for me to start T in the UK? I'm not entirely sure I can wait until my degree is completed, though I suppose if I had to I'd make it work.

Any help would be appreciated.

Nicky
