This bothers me, but why?

An article in a recent Diva mag discusses a film with a TS woman in it. They say they chose not tohave a TS woman PLAY the role because they wanted to honour the fact that they see the TS woman as a 'real' woman (my paraphrase).

This bothers me, quite a lot, but i cannot put my finger on why. Anyone?
