the hill is ill

as of now, i really love it here and am so grateful for that.

classes have been alright but supposedly get very demanding very quickly, but everyone seems prepared to thoroughly engage themselves in the work. the studio is awesome and we have our own balcony to hang out on (a nice touch). we all got our supplies and own big desks and cabinets and everything, it's so weird to be thrown into a surprisingly professional environment but it really makes you feel as if you've 'made it.' today we had to define a space using a roll of string, three rocks, and a small tree out on the cut in groups of five. our professors (who terrify us) were vague and hard to read when they analyzed our work but i think maybe they were trying to scare us.

anywho, i'm in the library (which is silent and soooo nice compared to the dorm) and have to do some reading on greek architects, something for interactive digital media, drawings for studio, and some b.s. for computing- a total joke class required of all freshmen.

oh, and my dorm is called Hamerschlag (hammer-sh-lag) so the lounge is the shlounge and the roof (accessible!) is the shroof, etc. we're dorky. we also lost dorm wars :( it could've been the third year in a row but we blew it...

that's it for now... oh. actually, my glasses broke today so i have to get up early tomorrow and take the bus to a lenscrafters before my 1:30 class. balls. that's it. really.
