Aloha...Aloha.
So yeah we pulled in this morning for no particular reason (Though I'm not complaining!), painted all day (I have some on my neck, forearm, nose, and of course hands.), took on some fuel (Which we normally get by linking up with an oiler offshore), and are set to head back out again first thing tomorrow morning. A little laundry here, I little check-a-da-E-mail there, and I'm chillin at the USO soaking up some community service hours whilst trying to avoid assisting with this free dinner they're doing tonight. When I showed up they were like "eyyy you can help them in the kitchen, then help them clean up afterwards." I was like "eyyy I'm gonna pretend to be cheerful but secretly want to shoot myself." Then I asked the women in the kitchen if I could be of assistance and they never really responded so I wandered off and haven't come back, though I heard one other volunteer ask if he could help and get turned down, so that's a good sign, right? Anyway I'm gonna see about maybe taking a nap in a bit, though I have no idea where...I'll work on that. Oh and our return date got moved back a day, though it doesn't really affect anything on your end.

Oh and I almost forgot: we've been practicing for the VBSS Cert. next week and I think I'm glad the coasties will be doing most of the work when we deploy...you get drenched in COLD saltwater before you even get to the ship you're boarding, then you stand around sweating and/or shivering in all your gear for hours while you work through all the red tape and such. Feck that. Oh and I think that's the reason I have a cold now.
