All the driving I've done, all the brushes with the law, all the tickets (and warnings), all the lawyers and traffic school and everything else....to see it on paper is disappointing. I suppose this is because the record doesn't show nearly everything. Only 9 tickets on there, only 3 of them resulting in points. The judge made a snide comment about how I shouldn't be afraid of a speeding ticket, since I've obviously had plenty. This caused me to think (but not say anything) about the tickets that aren't on the record, and the times I was inexplicably let go despite total disregard for the law. Something like "Hahahahhahhhhhh, you think what's on my record is bad?? You don't know the half of it bub." So yeah that was fun.
So let's see.....
-In 1998 that time I crossed over the centerline in a curve is on there (traffic school), but the time I went 94/70 in Georgia isn't (God bless corrupt small-town courts).
-In 2004 I went 97/70 on the turnpike on the way home for spring break, got nailed by an errplane...on there, but no points. Almost exactly a year earlier in 2003 I went 97/70 on the turnpike on the way home for spring break, got nailed by an errplane...not on there (God bless lawyers).
-In 2004 I went 115/70 in SoCarolina, locked in at 105, eventually written up for 79/70....you better believe it's on there for 3 points (Damn you SoCar). In 2005 I went 89/65 in Atlanta, written up for 74/65, not on there (God bless you Georgia).
-Just this year I was weaving through traffic at 90+ on a wet 595, not on there (God bless lawyers). Then again, that 42/20 in Boca is on there for 0 points.
Anyway, I ramble.
Oh I'll be home this weekend, since it's a long weekend and Ryan/Katie will be in.
Oh and check this out. Never seen Top Gear make American out to be sucky and full of rednecks, nooooo.
