...and dueled him to a draw. No I'm not making this up. While training to be an instructor, you have to go through the course like a student. So one of our classmates happens to be a 26-yr-old ex-Navy SEAL. And as part of our training in the delicate art of kicking ass, we wrestle against eachother at the end of each session. Normally you try to pick someone about your size/strength/ability, so the SEAL usually fights this other instructor trainee who used to be a Green Beret. Today, that guy wasn't around for whatever reason so I got voluntold. I expected to be neatly hogtied in .007 seconds, but managed to fight him off pretty well and even *almost* had the advantage a couple times. So...yeah, I'm a badass, go me, it's my birfday, etc.
On that note...this training is beating the crap outta me. From the waist up it's pretty much nothing but bruises, aches, rug burns, and pulled muscles. On the other hand, I get out before 2 every day, and don't have to put up with any of the ship BS. And I'm getting exercise.
