that load is rapidly approaching meltdown. i hope whatever it was finished soon.

unless you have some weird mismatched uptime install or are running (many) multiple procs and uptime's calls don't realize it.

It was pegged above 50 quite some time. It was only in the hundred range for around a half hour or so.

Uptime is only amazing depending on what the machine does. I guess in this case it does a shitload, though of what isn't clear.

I'm positive that somewhere in this world there's a forgotten Novell box mistakenly walled in yet still plugged into an uninterruptible power circuit that has uptime to put all of us to shame.

Yeah, really the uptime was irrelevant, it was the load avg that I was interested in. But for a machine that gets hammered this bad, regularly, 111 days is pretty damn good.
