Your prayers are desperately needed

Mar 03, 2013 07:01

As those of you who know me are aware, I have been ill and disabled since late 2001.

While my health and ability to function have been deteriorating steadily since then, I had a major downturn about a year ago, leaving me bedridden four to five days a week and unable to care for myself without assistance from my wife.

To make a long story short, recently it was determined that I have had high levels of calcium for at least five years.  Many of my recent symptoms -- and perhaps all of my symptoms -- can be caused by high calcium levels.

This high calcium level was traced to high levels of parathyroid hormone due to hyperparathyroidism, most likely cause by benign tumors to one or more of the four parathyroid glands.

I am scheduled to have, G-d willing, parathyroid surgery Monday morning.

The hope and expectation is that this surgery will correct this problem, allowing my calcium levels to return to normal, which in turn, G-d willing, will return me to better health.  There is even, G-d willing, the possibility of this fully returning me to good health.

Your prayers for a successful operation and a full recovery and a return for completely good health is urgently sought.

I am schedule to check in at 8:30 am, with the actual operation starting somewhere between 10:30 and 11:30 am.

I thank you all in advance for your prayers and well wishes.

Best regards,
