OK, it's not really a popularity contest. But here are the latest job trends for different programming languages.
Visual Basic should really show 0.2 higher than shown, due to some job listings calling it "vb".
This time around, I've omitted the following languages, since they have so little demand (in declining order of demand): Ruby, Cobol, Fortran.
Surprisingly, average salaries bore no relationship to demand for skills in a particular language:
