Happy Birthday Leslie!!
Happy Spring Break for some lucky people!
And Happy Friday to the rest of us!
Though sadly, my friday is going to consist of doing a massive number of organic chemistry problems, for several reasons; we have a test coming up, I don't understand all these synthesis reactions and I'm starting to realize with horror that I'm going to have to memorize them all..ick.. and (the good part)-- JC's coming to visit for a week! and so, if work is going to be done, I guess it will have to be done today.
This past week, coming back from spring break has definitly felt very overwhelming. I went from doing nothing and just reading trashy novels on the beach to 30 degree weather and snow, massive amounts of work, and learning that I've strained my IT band, which is making running a lot more painful. I feel as though I need another spring break already!
By the way, my spring break was absolutely excellent. My parents bithday party was a lot of fun-- though I can't believe they're going to be 50! thats so crazy! At the dinner, my dad stood up and thanked everyone for coming, and he explained that it was not only the anniversary of his birth, but also, the anniversary of his first date with my mom which took place 30 years ago, on his birthday. How weird is that? So all you people turning 20..gives you a little perspective don't you think?
The other part of my spring break I spent in Jamaica..I know, thats insane. But my quad mates found a travel deal where we stayed in an all inclusive resort that ended up being pretty cheap. And it was awesome! Jamaica is gorgeous. the water is so warm and clear..i was amazed. Adventures there included lots of beach, the worst sunburn I have ever gotten in my life, riding a horse bareback in the ocean, trying every mixed drink we could think of (hey, they were free..), getting a tour through the city of Montego Bay from one of the cooks from our resort, and attempting not to go broke, because boy, the sales people were pushy! All in all, I'd say it was a good trip.
