Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse...
Well, I know better than to think that. I certainly know it could get worse than it is right now.
The minions of a company that shall remain nameless have taken a task that was reduced to the point of 'cut and paste' and botched it about as horribly as one could imagine, so long as one is restricted to incompetence rather than malice, and a mouse rather than keyboard. (That is, they actually did use the cut and paste functions).
Having done this, they proudly proclaimed the task 'done'.
As this broke the system they used to notify me as soon as it took effect, it's a good thing it takes a few minutes to take effect...
Of course, this all had to happen while I was in a meeting. Err, a meeting that my coworkers were all in as well. That ran until COB. Good thing I decided to work late...
