My first guitar was one of those Argos cheapo jobbies... it served me well, even on stage, even though it was shit.

It sounds like you think stringing a guitar is something you have to get an expert out for, like stringing a piano. It's not, it's a 10 minute piece of piss. And a pack of strings is only a fiver.

But no, I don't have any guitars knocking around. I sold one for £30 to Cash Generators (like a pikey), and chucked the old Argos one at the dump.

It comes with headphones I think - I may have lost them. But there's a socket to plug your headphones in. It's battery powered. Not standard combo amp, not hughely powerful, but OK if he's just in his room.

It's a darker blue and the scratchboard is white mother of pearl.

I also have a tuner, some spare stings, picks, a cable for the amp and a soft case.

It's a good little starter pack.
