was meaning to post sooner when i got back from malaysia. I did actually enjoy my time there on the contrary to what i thought it would've been like. It was fantastic meeting new people, picking up new interests, driving my trust old ride, spending time with my nephew. Third eye blind's first album just reminds me of the whole trip, i had the cd in my car the whole time and is probably still in there right now.
it was great meeting new people, it broadens your perspective on society there. I had a rather dim view of people's attitudes in past visit. One thing that still bugs me is the health habits of people there. Its absolutely insane the amount of sugar and omega-6 oils consumed there, people jogging at parks at 3am in the morning, people working out in the gym with bad posture and improper techniques. I wish there was more widely available access to reliable and current information concerning to health. Theres still posters in schools and hospitals advocating the misguided food pyramid, which will lead to everyone getting their pancreas over worked from producing too much insulin... then hello cancer. Does anyone know about metabolic typing? Doctors still raking it in from their clinics selling drugs that kill us slowly. Why consume something that means Anti Life to cure oneself, when that is just merely a 'band-aid' to solving the problem whereas the real root is in the diet itself. Too much sugar, which leads to weakened immune systems. Another thing that makes me cringe is MSG. It still blows me away as to why its still an allowed substance in almost everything available on the supermarket shelfs. Why do people need monosodium glumate to assist flavouring their food? Its a cop out. I reckon thats one of the core problems to alot of the narrow minded thinking and laziness with our students there. All those wasted brain cells melted away by MSG, and to think we still produce brilliant academics, imagine if they weren't exposed to these nasties, why they'll super super smarrt~! fking malaysia will pwn!!!
my sister in law, is an english teacher. She tries implementing various methods that diff from the norm, to try get the students to think creatively and gather information from themselves as opposed to the usual spoon feeding. But she gets negative responses from her students, complaining of such heavy workload. I say what a lazy bunch of tools. The diet that is consumed there is making our kids lazy and hindering their progress. I think its part of the government's sinister plan to keep MSG in abundance, so the citizens will always be lazy and abiding.
i still love my country to bits though, more than i used too. So much infact that i have decided to return back to Sabah and help bring prosperity and wealth that is rightly deserved for this beautiful state. I will gather as much experience and knowledge beforehand and return ready.
