There has to be a better way...
I'm hoping someone out there can help me with a problem I'm having with posting.
When I cut and paste text (i.e. fic) into Safari, for some reason I can only paste into the HTML editor, so I lose all my formatting (italics, for the most part), and I have to go back and re-add it all by hand.
When I tried cutting and pasting text into Firefox, it kept the italics but weirdly double-spaced everything. When I went to edit the entry to try and fix that, the text didn't show up in either editor (rich text or HTML), despite the fact the post was clearly up.
Which sent me back to Safari. I don't know if those of you who've read my fic have noticed, but I use a lot of italics. And I am neurotic enough that I have to check and double-check that I put them all back in right, which in a 5,000 word story? Takes a LONG TIME. I am now watching the word count on my current WIP creep up with dread.
Someone else out there has to be on a Mac. Help?
