I chose Jabez to write for. I hope you find it satisfactory. ^^

The latest conflict had kept Jabez busy. So many of the fallen warriors had been unable to find their way to the All Spark for one reason or another; several of them had been too traumatized by the violence of their deaths, while others were too confused or frightened or angry to follow the call. The femme had done what she could to soothe the troubled sparks until they found the way. One of them had even been returned to the realm of the living thanks to the quick actions taken by a medic. If only more of them could be saved the sky-blue femme reflected sadly. The war was taking too many of them too soon.

“Excuse me, but might you tell me where I am?” someone asked in a deep baritone voice, drawing her from her sad musings. A handsome, pewter colored mech stood behind her, his crimson optics narrowed in suspicion. Jabez thought that she recognized him as one of the Decepticons that had been hauled from the battlefield by a teammate with severe wounds. He must have succumbed to his injuries she realized with a pang. Spreading her hands wide in a placating gesture she prepared to give the explanation that she had given too many times already.

“Do not worry. Nothing will harm you here,” she began by assuring him. The Decepticon regarded her with a look of cynical disbelief but did not try to dissuade her from talking. She quirked a faint, mirthless smile at that and continued, her expression sobering again. “But you must not stay here. You need to move on.”

“What do you mean?” the mech asked with a slight edge to his voice. The wariness in his optics had increased tenfold, and though he was not moving into a fighting stance he was not far from doing so if his body language was any indication.

“I am afraid that you have sustained fatal wounds. Your presence here is only possible if you have been deactivated. You must join with the All Spark or else become trapped here in the realm between Life and Death.”

Jabez was not certain what she expected the mech’s reaction to be, but his response to the news was one of the better than she had seen. Rather than bristle and growl in denial or flinch and whimper over things left undone he surveyed her silently. He had stiffened at first but now he appeared to be calming.

“Deactivated?” he asked in a carefully neutral tone. Jabez nodded. And just like that all tension left his frame along with a deep sigh of something akin to relief. “I can rest now,” he added in a murmur, more to himself than to her. Finally he glanced back at the femme, expression resolute. “How do I get to the All Spark?”

“Listen to your spark - you know the way,” she explained, again with a faint smile. The mech frowned at the answer but slowly nodded, bowing to her once in gratitude before walking off without another word. Jabez watched him go, feeling her spark lighten just a bit. It was always a relief when free sparks accepted their fate gracefully. She just hoped that the Decepticon would find the peaceful rest his voice had implied that he so dearly wanted.
