Dear Creator Letters
this is the post to link Dear Creator Letters to, if you are inclined to write one (or, if like me, your "optional details" section started to run long).
Dear Creator (Dear Author, if you've participated in previous fic-only exchanges) letters are a useful tool in a gift exchange, giving you space to detail the exact sorts of things you like/love in a piece, favorite characters, things you absolutely Do Not Want ever, etc. they also give you more space to expand on a want/do not want than a comment box can give you. they're a huge help for your gifter, and a great way to help you get a piece you'll love.
if you've never written a dear creator letter before, that's okay! here's my Dear Author Letter from the Galentine's Day exchange. my letter isn't a perfect example of how to write one, but it's a decent example of what to include.
