REQ - G1/IDW - Megatron/Ratchet - AU, hurt/comfort, manipulation

I know. I probably just raised a ton of eyebrows from the subject line alone. Let me explain! Because it's crack, but the more I think about it the more I think it'd be really awesome. The background is sort of a G1/IDW mashup - feel free to tweak as desired.
So! Modern day, 'bots vs. 'cons, Great War, etc. Ratchet, in a Freak Spacebridge Accident, lands his aft back in time on Cybertron in pre-war Kaon. He has absolutely nothing except what's on his person - no place to go, no place to stay, no income or identity (Ratchet is quick enough to realize that accessing any of his younger self's things would throw up a ton of red flags that would get him arrested for identity theft in the short run and also he doesn't REMEMBER anything of the sort happening, which means it's a paradox besides), and no way of getting anything, including energon or any parts or tools to even begin to find a way home.
Down and destitute and having-a-really-bad-day Ratchet, with his normal temper, in Kaon, is going to equal trouble. Kaon's not exactly a nice place. Cue the resulting bar/street brawl and - of all the mechs possible - a very young and just starting out gladiator!Megatron wading in and helping Ratchet out. He takes Ratchet back to his place (because even a gladiator's crash pad is a step up from the street) and does his best to befriend him because hey! Academy Trained Medic = Pure Gold as far as gladiators are concerned.
Ratchet, who is very O_o and horrified (the Autobot's worst enemy! Right there!) is being treated nice and helped out (and having a crash course in an idealistic young Megatron's philosophy and beatnik poetry). He's stuck trying to figure out a) if he's trapped in the past and b) if he is, can he change history and stop the war, and c) does changing history have to include killing Megatron in his sleep, because young!Megatron is actually kind of... nice.
Ethical dilemmas all over the place! Should he kill a mech in cold blood for stuff the mech hasn't even done yet? If he does, will Optimus have the drive and support to change the stuff that really does need changing? Can he maybe just sort of nudge things into taking a different course that doesn't involve war?
...Also, he's really really sort of hoping that Megatron did not just make a pass at him. Really. Because Megatron having a crush on him is just more awkward than any bot needs, and even nice!Megatron is VERY persistent once he decides what he wants. Except there's pros to the idea of getting up close with Megatron (not the least of which is that he's good looking, enthusiastic, and really kind of nice), and the more Ratchet thinks about it the more it might be prudent to go along with it... for the good of the future. Really.

Bonus Points!
- Ratchet interacting with the rest of the Decepticons, pre-war. For example, Starscream and his Trine, when Starscream's fresh from being kicked out of the Science Academy and is still mourning Skyfire - a very different Starscream from the one Ratchet knows.
- Megatron and the other gladiators all being really appreciative of Ratchet; after all, he's a professional licensed medic (even if he can't prove it on paper) and he's whole steps above the back alley hacks the gladiatorial rings usually get.
- Ratchet going along with Megatron's advances because he figures that at the very least he could have some influence on the future warlord if they're in a relationship - and worse case scenario, he's in a trusted position that's physically close enough to take Megatron out if necessary. And maybe, he thinks, just maybe, if Megatron had a confidant and a voice of reason and someone besides himself to care about, etc, maybe Megatron wouldn't have gone all evil. It starts off totally logical (if a little desperate) and ends up with Ratchet surprising himself because he actually starts to care and wants to see Megatron make the right choices and reach his real potential.
- Megatron, for his part, sees a shiny, competent, gruff and rough but caring medic, all of which is sort of rare and awesome in his world, and then add on a layer of genuine caring because Primus, Ratchet is a mess, and also a mystery. Here's a medic who's armed like a gladiator and has almost as many scars as one, who has nightmares when he recharges and is on a paranoid hairtrigger (from the war) that Megatron equates with "vorns on the streets", who's Academy trained but won't say anything about his past, and Megatron's left to draw his own conclusions of the worst and then mentally paint himself as a sort of hero. He's looking to make a difference and if he can't change the world overnight then he can at least help one mech, and Ratchet is a lot of things Megatron finds shiny plus he obviously needs something and hey, Megatron thinks he can be that something.
- Extra bonus points for Ratchet having to reveal the truth at some point. However Megatron reacts is up to Anon.
- I'm cool with any sex type. I'd love something consensual but sort of awkward between them - Megatron trying to 'court' Ratchet but being sort of blunt like a brick wall about it, being all gruff and kind of concerned because he wants to 'help' Ratchet, and Ratchet caught between instinctive cringing because OMP Worst Enemy! and actually being sort of flattered at all of the appreciation and learning to see Megatron in a whole new light.
Whether Ratchet gets back to the present, or changes history... totally up to Anon! I just want sort of emotional awkward semi h/c between them, with each hoping to "help" the other.

[OP] I... I'm dangerously close to writing it myself, but I'm already writing so many prompts it's not even funny! x___x I put it here so that I can remember the idea later, and if someone else writes it in the meantime I will love them FOREVER AND EVER.
Um, would anyone mind if I did a one or two-shot with this? I'd love to see someone tackle it in all its glory, but I can't seem to actually finish either of my other stories, so I'd like to attempt something short and self-contained.

[OP] I would love it if you did! ^____^ Short shots would be awesome! (and I totally understand. I've got other stuff to finish before I can play with anything new. x_x)

*sighs* Think I'll be taking this prompt on as well. Damn thing won't leave my brain alone. No idea when it will be done however, bunnies like to bite and then run when I give them attention.
Anyway, dear OP, do you horribly mind if I mash a little bit of Marvel into the mix? Mostly the whole Megatron and Ratchet being molecular bonded together at one point? Possibly a few other little details from various other continuities as well, but that big plot point from the Marvel comics is the one I'd most like to add.

[OP] EEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! That would be AWESOME. I admit, I've outlined some fic idea for it myself, but OMG I would love to see other versions and the Marvel inclusion is genius! Yes yes, please yes! ^_^

[OP] eeee! Yay!! ^___^ And I know, right? Time travel is one of the best plot hijinks, and hey, it's even canonical in G1! (and space bridges make dandy plot convenience devices!)
