middle of the week blues

Today before Property my friend Katie passed out a flier to her co-birthday bash (it's for her and our friend Sara) to be held this friday. It had two women in lingerie on the flier -- one a brunette like Katie and the other a blonde like Sara -- and read "It's a slumber party... except this time the boys are invited too!" Seriously, how can I turn down "Drunk/Naughty Truth or Dare"? I love my MSU alumni law classmates : )

I might go see The Life Aquatic again on Thursday with April, which would be cool for numerous reasons. And Saturday I'm going to see Sideways with Bette since she was nice and picked me up from the airport at 1am Saturday night.

I'm not sure what to make of this semester. I mean, obviously it's only been two days and I have yet to meet my Constitutional Law prof, but I've heard nothing but good things about that chap. My property professor lived up to my expectations, which is to say he's really into himself. I can deal with that, vanity is an easy avarice to placate.

I want more grades. One does not cut it. Although I'm really happy with that one grade--so maybe that's okay for now!

I brought back lots of old postcards from home that I had purchased during the years 1998 through 2000. I was talking to my friend Vanessa and basically summed it up as "from the ages 18 through 20 I loved without hesitation, without fear, lived passionately and took risks. Then something happened." I still feel like I catch myself being like I was, and as if in fear of opening too much, I turn back to mr. serious. Some people still draw out that side of me though that very few people get to see. And I think I more easily write the way I used to be rather than act it. I'm not making sense.

Good night.
