This past weekend was amazing. Courtney, Jessie's great parents, and I had a grand time on our way to Columbus to pick up my Jessie. Jessie's parents are hilarious which made the trip done and plus Courtney had a cold so her nose was popping the whole time. We finally got to the house where she was staying and helped her get all packed up and she showed us her room and we all laughed like old times. We leave the house and she showed us around Columbus and went to a Market, that I cannot think of the name. but I had my first sushi experience.. I guess just like I thought. I want to go to a "real" sushi bar though. That night Jessie had commissioning and Courtney and I weren't invited to dinner because I guess there wasn't enough food or they just wanted immediate family.. whatever. (Long Story) So.. they dropped us off a few miles away at a coffee shop; in what Courtney called, 'in the middle of hillbilly central' at 5:00. We get our drinks and we after awhile we realized we were hungry from the lack of dinner. So we thought we would just get some soup.. we go up to order and we learn that it's closed. It was a friday night and the coffee shop had closed at stinking 5:30. Now, it was already 6:00 and keep in mind, it is pitch dark outside, it's cold, and everything is closed. We are freaking out and I was saying over and over "This is soo dumb.. ridiculous" then there is Courtney, "What the heck are you going to do?" We see one light that is on down the way so we walk down and what do you know- a restaurant, called "Castle's Mixins' and Fixins'". Does that give you any idea of what this establishment might possibly be like? We had no intention of getting any food though, because the highlight of the menu: live and onions and there were posters plastered all over the walls with steak ads. We decided to hide in the bathroom for awhile when we thought people are probably wondering what two girls are doing in a one room bathroom for 15 minutes. So then we're thinking okay, we're just going to go out and say we're waiting on someone. Out to the restaurant we went and waited on a church pew. Then, this unfortunate fella comes up to us checks us out and he has on this black puffy coat with VOMIT right in the middle. I don't know how many times people asked if we can be helped. Then to top the whole thing off I look up at the entry way (which is no where near where anyone cooks food or anything) and there is a sign that reads WARNING: MICROWAVE OVEN IN USE! So we're having our laughs and finally Jessie's parents come and we quickly get up and leave. Jessie, had her ceremony and we prayed over them for about 30 minutes which was powerful. WE went to the hotel and stayed up almost all night rehashing our lives- the best night I have had since summer. We traveled home Saturday afternoon. Janelle showed up and all four of us crammed into Jessie bed and watched movies and fell asleep. Very good weekend.
Also, this weekend was pretty amazing too. For thanksgiving Lavons' came over. Friday morning my mom, sister, and I all went early bird shopping. Fun, but grouchy. and after a long nap Ashley, Katie, and their mother and my mom and I watched a movie. Then today, Ashley and I got to work together- so fun. and after we went out to mishawalka for a dollar movie, panera bread, and some christmas shopping.
I missed my friends.
