#4 A magic spell or potion.
#5 Challenge - write a fic with this as your starting poin: your chosen characters are trapped inside a room and something's trying to get in. Go!
#6 Challenge: Pick a character, pick a horror trope (there's a handy list here, I accept no responsibility for people getting lost on TV Tropes after following that link), and write a short fic which either inverts the trope or introduces an element of surprise. You can use the horror trope in any genre you like.
