[PG] Prompt #3 H/C ficlet
G1 family (Warped Minds 'Verse, pre-war), Starscream & Thundercracker
Note this scene might eventually appear in my fic Warped Minds if I ever get around to posting it.
"If he wasn't offline when they dropped him, Thundercracker, he would be by now, don't you think? Don't act so cut up about it. What happened to 'Skywarp is a menace and a responsibility I neither need nor want'? S-"
Starscream was cut off when a furious Thundercracker slammed him into the wall, pinning him.
"Hey!"
"Skywarp," Thundercracker growled, "Isn't the only menace I've been shouldered with! And Skywarp didn't abandon anyone in an alleyway, who'd just saved his tailfins!"
"But that's his job, he's my guard! So are you for that matter! Get off or I'll have two dead guards!"
"He's not dead, he's missing!---"

'He's not dead, he's missing-' Starscream insisted, and the dean of explorations sat back in frustration.
'Is that your official report to the faculty, Starscream?'
'Yes! Because he's not DEAD! If you'll just send a recovery crew, or-' he hesitated, 'or resupply me, I'll prove it!' The thought of going back out into deep space alone didn't really appeal, but this was Skyfire he was talking about.
'You know the department can't afford to send an expedition on a venture with no tangible reward, Starscream. But you must be exhausted. Find somewhere to get some rest and we'll talk when you've got your processor straight.'
Storming out of the room without further comment, the Seeker almost ran into an associate in the hallway.
'Starscream! You're back! Is it true Skyfire's gone? You know what they're saying, right? I don't believe it myself, but the word is...

"...It's your fault, Starscream. Are you even listening to me?" Being slammed against the wall again brought him back to the present.
"Fine! I'll help you!"
Thundercracker stopped. "What?"
"I'll help you find him... Or at least find out if they kept him online."
