Title: Forgotten in Time

Prompt: Prompt #3, "Always in history, it is the pioneers who suffer for ultimate victory."
Megatron snarled as Clench came into his squalid room under the arena.
"Yes, Clench?"
Clench didn't waste words. "I know that noblemech gave you some energon. Give me my share, worm."
Megatron shook his head, and Clench moved forward, grabbing him and slamming him into the wall hard enough to leave a dent.
"I guess you didn't hear me, worm. Give me my share."
Again, Megatron shook his head, and this time, Clench struck him with a backfist. Megatron slammed his knee up and into Clench's torso and the fight was on. Clench hit hard and fast, but Megatron was an ex-miner, built tough and durable. He could take the punishment Clench dished out, but he couldn't get enough hits in to slow Clench down.
Finally beaten into unwilling submission by Clench, Megatron lost the remnants of the cube given to him by the noblemech, and he watched with seething hatred as Clench left his room.
He would find some way to stop Clench from taking what he'd earned, what was rightfully his.
And he'd do it on the corpse of the gladiator, if he must. After all, leaders got their positions by climbing up the backs of other mechs, killing them if needed, to lead the people in the proper direction.
He began to plot.
Many orns later, looking down on the impaled corpse of Clench and listening to the shocked murmurs of the crowd, Megatron revealed in his position as leader of the gladiator corps and, hopefully, leader of a new movement on Cybertron.
