Yes, this will definetely be continued, but I can't say when, sorry. I was myself thrown for a loop, when I found out that Hot Rod, after his reformatting, would turn out (in some continuities) as a Rodimus with self-confidence issues - because I only know G1 up to TF:TM, to be honest. But the idea intrigued me. It just seems logical, since Hot Rod was a teenager, by TF standard, when that huge responsibility is thrust at him and having to fit Optimus' shoes - who would'nt find that a tough burden? And how do they say in "Dune" - fear is the little death, the mind killer ^-^
I was afraid, in fact, that Rodi would turn out to be too emo, but since no one complained about that so far... ^-^
I agree and am glad that it turned out to be a double-edged sword, that forced bonding, because my first version did not achieve the necessary dublicity of the act - it was more a plain "selfish" move/rape, without the true "soul-contact". Not that it isn't in the final version but... It is a make it or break it situation.
Kup is my fav. grumpy/kind mech and was the obvious choice, because of the reasons you mentioned and that he's fairly close to Hot Rod/Rodi even in canon. I hope it came across that the vast difference in age and experience makes the bond an unbalanced one? Poor Rodi, if Kup should chose to exploit that...
Thanks again for the long comment - hope a long reply was welcome as well LOL
