Fic: Amicable Coexistence
Title: Amicable Coexistence

Summary: Soundwave leave Ratbat with Thundercracker who muses over it.

Ratbat nuzzles Thundercracker's sides affectionately. The blue jet stiffens for a moment before forcing himself to relax and continues on tapping into the console, trying to finish the report that Skywarp has dumped on his lap before teleporting off somewhere. Thundercracker wished Soundwave has not leave his smallest and youngest cassettes with him. He is always worried when he has to deal with the little ones. Their frames so very small compared to his own, so very fragile.
He understand that it is important to the development of their flight instinct to spend time with other flight capable mechs, as demonstrated by Buzzsaw and Lazerbeak, both of whom spent their formative years between their creator and himself. However, he is still a bit vexed to be the one chosen for the job. Granted, Thundercracker himself will not leave any sparklings unattended with his fellow seekers. Who knows what mishaps Skywarp will get them into, or what Starscream will do to the helpless sparklings (especially ones belonging to Soundwave) and he shuddered at the idea of putting the Coneheads in the same sentence as sparklings. In the end, it all just about leaving him as the only candidate for cassettes sitting duties.
A squeak from Ratbat jolted Thundercracker from his musings. He looked down at the cassette who is in turn looking up at him expectantly, flapping his wings excitedly. "That's right, it is time for flight class," Thundercracker smiled softly at the cassette before scooping the smaller flier into his arms and walks out of the room. Ratbat replied with happy chirps from his place within the warm confines of Thundercracker's arms.

Also, some questions, is there any community dedicated to posting transformers drabbles? I realize my works are mostly shorts ficlets and I don't want to clutter up this place with drabbles, so would love any directions to the proper place. On the other hand, is it alright to post drabbles here? Also, I've been wondering, since this place is for pairings, does it always have to be a romantic situation? I found that some characters just would not start any romantic relationship no matter how much I throw them together.
