One mech in the whole of the Autobot army could carry out his mission in record time, while simultaneously pissing off scores of other bots in his path.  He was the best at what he did and knew it.  Nobody else could keep up.

Blurr was liquid blue pigment, streaking through corridors.  Most had learned not to read and walk at the same time, so as to at least see him coming and try to get out of the way fast enough.  Bluestreak liked to multitask, however, reading over the daily duties or whatever interesting article he happened upon.  And everyday, it was the same routine.  Blue would be walking out of his quarters, optics on his data pad, and Blurr would come down the corridor, adjust his course ever so slightly, and just clip Bluestreak’s shoulder, sending him spinning around to eventually land on his skid plate.  Sometimes the young gunner heard an apology from the courier as he sped by, but most of the time not.  He decided to fix this.

Bluestreak had gotten up earlier than normal and set up. A wire was attached to the wall opposite the edge of his door at about ankle height, laid across the hall, and the other end attached to a board with a cylinder on the bottom. He waited for the sound of Blurr’s speeding footsteps, and just as he saw the large mass of blue, he stepped on the back edge of the board, raising the wire and catching Blurr at the ankle.  The data courier went helm over peds down the corridor until he was stopped by the unforgiving wall with a resounding clang, partially upside down with his legs sprawled over him.

Blue walked up to the dazed mech and crouched down in front of him.

“You might be faster than anyone here, but you know what Blurr?”

“…Wha?”, Blurr asked rather hazily.

“Your route is really predictable”, and with that, Bluestreak walked down the hall away from him, reading an article.
